A Twitter post from Nikki Sixx got fans excited about potential new music from Motley Crue. He wrote: “Great day in the studio writing random riffs with J5.” He was referring to John 5 who recently joined as a touring guitarist in place of Mick Mars.
Crue’s most recent release was in 2019 for their Netflix biopic soundtrack, The Dirt. They haven't released a proper studio album since 2008's Saints of Los Angeles.
Motley Crue fans know, the band doesn’t do anything with speed… Their current stadium tour with Def Leppard was originally set in place and announced in 2015, but didn’t kick odd until 2022.
That tour will start back up in late May in the U.K., and will wrap up in early July.
